Support Sherin's Family's Urgent Evacuation

I'm Sherin Alshawish, reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance on behalf of my family, Alshawish family consists of six members ( From the left: Ahmad, Mahmoud, Bilal, Thoria, Haneen and Sherin ), who are trapped in the devastating situation in Gaza. We are urgently seeking evacuation to Egypt after enduring more than 240 days (eight months) of displacement and hardships.

My family and I are facing a genocide and a devastating life for eight months now. This brutal war caused the destruction of our home, and forced us to displace for five times to different places to save our lives.

In the 8th of October, we had to escape from airstrikes that bombed the eighth floor of our building and we were living in the fifth floor.

Despite the terrifying situation and the heavy smoke we managed to flee to another area.

The whole neighborhood was completely destroyed and we lost our home, our jobs and some of our friends.

Then Israel occupation forces ordered us to evacuate the North of Gaza and go to the central or the south of the city so we forced to evacuate to Khan Yunis for a month and then from Khan Yunis to Rafah. We ended up in a small store under construction sleeping on the sand (one room and a bathroom). In that store, we lost our kind father. He couldn’t bear witnessing all that atrocities practiced on us all of a sudden he is gone because of a heart attack.

The war and siege have made it hard for us to obtain basic necessities, including medicine, water, food, clothes and cooking gas. The diseases starting to spread. We suffer from stomachache and diarrhea because the unclean water we drink. The situation in Gaza become unlivable, not to mention the ongoing bombing.

Last month, they threatened to invade Rafah and we had to displace again heading to Deir Albalah. The situation is getting harder every day. We have been living in fear, hunger and displacement for several months. There's no safe place in Gaza from the north to the south.

Despite our lose of lives, home, jobs, even our memories we still hopping to live a normal life again. Your help means everything to me and my family.
