Hi everyone, I never thought I’d be in a position to do this, but here I am asking for a little help during a really difficult time. I hurt my back at work and just the simple task of everyday life has become a challenge. I can’t bend, I have a hard time putting up my hair, and even simple things like putting my clothes on take a lot longer. It’s really stressful because I’m not used to this. I’m used to working two jobs, six days a week, and to go from that to not working at all has been really rough and very stressful. Since the beginning of December, I’ve been out of work and, unfortunately, I still haven’t received any pay while waiting for my workers’ comp/TDI paperwork to be processed. I’ve already used up all of my sick leave, and the delays have left me without any income at the moment.
To help with my recovery, I go to physical therapy, massage therapy, and chiropractor appointments two times a week each. These treatments are essential for my healing, and I am also preparing for a possible procedure soon. This has made it extremely difficult to keep up with basic necessities like rent, food, and bills while I focus on healing and doing everything required on my end. The uncertainty and stress have been overwhelming, and it’s been hard to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone.
Any support—whether it’s donating or simply sharing—means more than I can say. Your kindness will help me cover basic necessities and give me the peace of mind to focus on my recovery. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being here during a time when it truly matters. With gratitude, Sherina
