On December 10, 2025, our best friend Sherice was having a completely normal morning — sending emails, getting ready for work, planning her day — when everything changed in an instant. As she went to sit on the bed, her husband saw her face suddenly change and she collapsed. He reacted immediately and rushed her to Fawcett Memorial Hospital, where doctors delivered devastating news: Sherice had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. The stroke left the right side of her body paralyzed. She was unable to breathe on her own and required a tracheostomy. Sherice could not be weaned off the ventilator and was transferred to a long-term care facility, where she remains today. She is currently on and off the ventilator as doctors work to stabilize her condition. Since then, she has faced additional complications including infections related to her feeding tube and blood clots. This journey will be a long and difficult road. Sherice is able to track with her eyes and responds to commands in small ways — signs that she is still fighting. And if you know Sherice, you know she has always been a fighter. Sherice is truly an angel on earth. She is a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, mentor, and friend. She has always been the person who shows up — the one who puts others before herself without hesitation. She lives by one simple principle: If you are in a position to help, you do. Before her stroke, Sherice was the primary caregiver for her mother, who suffers from dementia. Since this tragedy, her husband has stepped into that role as well, all while standing by Sherice’s side every single day. Now it’s our turn to help. Sherice will require long-term, likely indefinite care. The financial burden of extended medical treatment, long-term care, therapies, medical equipment, and household expenses is overwhelming. We are asking our friends, family, and community to rally around Sherice and her family during this unimaginable time. Any donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward her medical expenses and supporting her family as she continues to fight. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Sherice in your prayers. Let’s show Sherice the same love and selflessness she has shown to so many. Thank you for standing with her.
