After 9 years of being cancer-free, my mom, Sheri DeSimone, has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Due to multiple surgeries and radiation treatments, she will need to take lots of time off of work. As a single mom with an extremely labor-intensive job, supporting two children and a household has grown increasingly stressful as we plan ahead for more surgeries and future treatment.
