Support Shelter to Soldier's Mission

Hi, I’m Johnston Galves, and I’m reaching out to you to support Shelter to Soldier, an incredible organization that transforms the lives of both shelter dogs and veterans in need. if you’re reading this, that means I’m somewhere along a 24 hour run on The Strand in Oceanside, honoring World Mental Health Day by fundraising for local charities that make a difference. I run Oceanside Run Club, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the community any way we can.

By adopting dogs facing uncertain futures, shelter to soldier trains these amazing animals to become Psychiatric Service Dogs for post-9/11 veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI, and MST. Together, we can help save lives—two at a time.

Your donations will directly contribute to this vital mission, providing hope and healing to those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Here’s how your support makes a difference:
  • Funds are used to train service dogs, ensuring they are equipped to help veterans navigate their daily challenges.
  • Donations support community outreach programs that bring comfort to active military and veterans through therapy dog visits.
Join me in making a meaningful impact by donating today. Every contribution counts!

With each step we take as a community, whether alone or in a group brings mental fortitude and resilience. For a lot of of our troops and veterans, it simply isn’t that easy. Or for our youth: more info on our fundraiser for Casa De Amparo linked below
