Hello family and friends, Brock and I experienced a traumatic situation at our house Friday afternoon, August 31.
We had some damage from Hurricane Beryl; it had our roof sealed and such from that. We decided we were going to get a live oak tree removed that is behind our home in the event of another hurricane. It wouldn’t come down on our home. We hired a company that was referred to us to come out and remove that tree.
The morning was going fine. They were taking limbs down, and they got to another limb, and the rope broke, and that hundreds and hundreds of pound live oak limb came through our home…. We had this huge limb all the way through our ceiling into our living room and kitchen area, crushing furniture. Brock and I are and were devastated about it.
Needless to say, the company left. The sheriff's department was called, a report was made, but Brock and I are left with these repairs that are very overwhelming for us. We do not have structure insurance, and that was the reason why we were taking down that huge tree in the event of preventing something like this. We’re making plans and figuring out how this will get done. Financially, it’s going to take a lot, and that’s why we’re creating this GoFundMe to help us.
Brock and I want to thank each and every one of you and appreciate each and every one of you for helping.
