Help Shelley Through Her Health Struggles and Financial Burden

Dear friends, family, and strangers,

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Shelley. I met Shelley when volunteering with her at church many years ago. She and her 12-year-old son, Drake, are part of our small group family. Shelley and Drake have been through so much struggle and hardship over the past few years, many that I can't even name. Shelley is so strong. I am always amazed by her ability to press on and seek God's plan in her life.

Shelley has been battling an incredibly difficult series of health issues over the past few years. Shelley is facing not only the physical challenges of her illnesses but also the overwhelming financial strain that comes with it.

Shelley has had two serious episodes of sepsis that required extended hospitalizations, as well as two additional hospital stays due to complications. These health setbacks have taken a massive toll on her body, her finances, and her ability to work.

To make matters even more challenging, Shelley needs to schedule extensive surgery in the near future, one that will require her to take three months off work to fully recover. While she has always been a fighter, these health struggles have left her unable to work, resulting in lost income and mounting medical bills that she simply cannot afford to pay on her own.

Shelley already has and is facing thousands of dollars more in medical expenses, and with no income during her recovery, she's now at risk of losing her ability to cover her basic living expenses — rent, car payments, utilities, groceries, and more. Without the support she needs, she may find herself in a position where it's impossible to meet even the most essential needs.
