Hello to Our Loves,
Shelley is home after a sudden and serious health crisis impacting her respiratory system, immune system, and gut health as a result of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) that led to sepsis, pneumonia and other lasting conditions.
While this is a meaningful milestone, we are still in the very early stages of what will be a long and intentional recovery. Her healing requires both conventional medical care and integrative therapies, working together to rebuild her strength, immunity, and overall well-being. She is working closely with her Primary Care Physician and Functional Medicine Doctor on a holistic approach to recovery with their approval and coordination for all therapies.
The financial impact is ongoing and significant. This financial support from our community will help cover:
- Pulmonary rehab, PT, OT, speech therapy, and ongoing medical care
- IgG infusions, functional medicine, supplements, and immune support
- Complementary therapies like acupuncture, somatic work, EMDR, Reiki, and breathwork
- Creating and maintaining a clean, supportive home environment for recovery
