Help Support Shelley Goodman's Recovery
On Monday, April 21st, Shelley Goodman, a beloved friend, family member, and passionate horseback rider, was involved in a life-changing accident. While riding her horse, Dexter, she was thrown after he was startled by a deer. Shelley landed on her head, resulting in a permanent paralysis from the sternum down. Despite the severity of her injuries, Shelley has remained strong, positive, and surrounded by faith, love, and the support of her friends and family.
Shelley has already undergone a 7-hour surgery to stabilize her spine, and she will remain in the hospital for an extended period as she continues her recovery. Her journey toward regaining independence is just beginning, and it will require long-term physical therapy, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care.
As you can imagine, the financial burden of medical expenses, therapy, and modifications to her home are significant. We’re asking for your support to help cover these costs so Shelley can focus on healing without the stress of mounting bills.
Please consider contributing to this fund to help Shelley get the care and resources she needs during her recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and will go a long way in ensuring Shelley’s journey toward healing is as smooth as possible.
You can also follow her progress and updates on her CaringBridge page for more information about her recovery.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
