Hello, my name is Lane Ball, and I'm reaching out to you on behalf of my sister, Shelley. Many of you know Shelley as someone with a servants heart, driven by her unwavering faith in Christ. At the young age of 20, Shelley faced a daunting battle with Malignant Lymphoma, pausing her college education to undergo grueling months of chemotherapy and radiation. Through the grace of God, she emerged victorious, remaining cancer-free ever since. However, the radiation treatment took its toll on her heart, leading to a series of health challenges.
In 2018, Shelley underwent surgery for a pacemaker, but complications arose, requiring her to undergo two subsequent surgeries to address faulty leads. Now, facing yet another obstacle, Shelley is preparing for open heart surgery at Duke University Hospital on March 11 to replace her deteriorating mitral valve. As the sole provider for herself, Shelley faces significant financial strain, with looming medical bills and a month-long absence from work ahead.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards alleviating Shelley's financial burden, covering her living expenses during her recovery period and assisting with her mounting medical bills. Our family is committed to supporting Shelley through this challenging time, ensuring that every dollar raised will be allocated solely towards her bills.
Your prayers, generosity and support will make a tangible difference in Shelley's life as she navigates this journey towards healing. Thank you for your prayers, kindness and generosity.
