My name is Josie, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my beautiful mom, Shelley Boyer. She is currently facing the final stages of metastatic breast cancer, and our family is doing everything we can to keep her comfortable, safe, and surrounded by love during this incredibly difficult time.

Over the last few months, Shelley’s condition has worsened rapidly. The cancer has spread extensively—to her liver, bones, lungs, and lymph nodes. She’s growing weaker by the day, and though she’s fighting as hard as she can, we’ve entered a stage where comfort and care are our highest priorities.

I’m her primary caregiver, and I’m also a single mother to my young daughter. As you can imagine, this journey has brought emotional, physical, and financial burdens that are beyond what we ever expected.

About Shelley

Shelley has always been more than just a mom—she’s been a second mother to so many. Over the years, she opened her home and heart to friends, neighbors, and even near-strangers who needed a place to land. Our house was often filled with people who weren’t her children by blood, but who called her Mom just the same. She never hesitated to offer a warm meal, a couch to crash on, or a listening ear when someone had nowhere else to turn. Her love has always been unconditional, and her heart always bigger than her means. AND Most importantly, she has been a second mother to Amelia, guiding her with tenderness, laughter, and unwavering love.
