Last week, my cousin Shelley, her husband Alex, and their young son Wesley moved into their first family home. It was a dream come true for them, filled with hopes and plans for the future. Tragically, today a house fire destroyed everything they had, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

In this heartbreaking incident, one of their beloved cats didn’t make it and the other escaped and is stilling missing. The emotional and financial toll of this disaster is overwhelming.
