Support Shelby's fight against cancer

My name is Lea and I am starting a GoFund me for my friend Shelby. She is one of the most caring, strong and overall amazing people I have ever known. She is always putting everyone before herself and would be the first one to help someone in need. Shelby is so strong and never complains even when she would have every reason to.

Shelby does not like to ask for help, she would continue to fight through any obstacle put in her path by herself so I am asking for help for her.

Shelby’s life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer less than a year ago. At 35 years old she should be enjoying the best parts of her life. After being diagnosed she started treatment right away while working full time and taking care of her family. She did not miss a day of work and stayed positive and strong throughout it, even when the treatments started to get harder and harder to get through.

After many different treatments and getting and beating COVID-19 she was told that her cancer spread to her brain. She did radiation immediately and was put on new treatment plans. It has been months of constant infusions, radiation and treatments and the tumors on her brain are now not responding to the treatment. Her doctors have given her months to live and have limited options for further treatment.

Shelby needs to keep working in order to provide for her family and keep her insurance. There are alternative treatments that Shelby is looking into that range from 30K upwards of $200,000. I am hoping with help Shelby can focus more on herself, her health and family instead of bills and insurance and can have some hopes at an alternative treatment. Her doctors said that she would need a miracle to beat this, but they don’t know Shelby and how incredibly resilient, strong, stubborn and amazing she is.
