Support Shelby's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Our strong, courageous loving sister Shelby, was diagnosed with breast cancer this past August.

While being in remission for the past 7 years, she has lived her life facing the fear that this evil disease would one day return. She was diagnosed on August 29th with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, grade 3. This cancer is Her2 positive and known to be a more aggressive cancer than before.

This was shocking and devastating to hear this news. On October 24th, Shelby will endure a double mastectomy (with Lymph node dissection) in addition to adding expanders in for reconstructive surgery within 6 months after the initial mastectomy. After the mastectomy is complete, Shelby will complete chemotherapy for an unknown amount of time at this point.

This will endure a financial hardship for her family. Shelby works hard as a Director of Quality Assurance for Clearway Pain Solutions. Shelby has a loving husband, who will assist in her caregiving after her surgeries. She has two older boys who are devastated by the news and her 11 year old daughter whom is very active with her mother’s care. She enjoys reading cancer survivor stories with her mother at bedtime. Unfortunately, this time Shelby will not have the support from her mother and oldest daughter Brianna. Although we know they are watching over her from the heavens above. Since loosing her mother in December 2022, to a similar battle with breast cancer she had to endure the grief of that while trying to cope with the reality of having cancer again. She also deeply misses her oldest daughter Brianna, who unexpectedly passed in April 2021.
