Sarah is raising money for her niece, Shelby Judkins and her husband Chris and their family after an unimaginable tragedy. Their seven-year-old son, Asher, who was nonverbal and autistic, disappeared from home on the afternoon of August 20th, 2026, and was found after a six hour search involving police, bloodhounds, and numerous community awareness efforts. Heartbreakingly, Asher had made his way to a nearby creek and drowned. In the midst of learning of this devastating loss, Shelby and Chris were also faced with their younger son, Luca, being taken into state custody due to concerns about their living conditions. In the span of a single day, this family lost so much and their world was turned upside down.

Shelby and Chris are doing everything they can while already living with financial hardship, and now they are carrying burdens no family should have to face alone. Donations will help with Asher’s funeral expenses so he can be laid to rest with dignity, legal fees as Shelby and Chris work to bring Luca home, and the costs of improving their housing or moving so they can meet state requirements and begin rebuilding their lives.
