Dear family & friends, our sweet Sheila, who battled kidney disease for the last thirty years, passed away Sunday, June 29th. She fought long and hard and never gave up. Her last outing was a camping trip with her daughter Emily. Her last memory was enjoying the beautiful weekend at Penland Lake.

Unfortunately, due to the medical expenses that accompanied her illness, she lived on a very modest income and there is no money to take care of her final expenses. So to help out with this, we are setting up a GoFundMe for anyone who might like to donate and help in this capacity. Sheila had a big heart and cared about so many. Her sweet and gentle spirit was evident in everything she did.

A huge thank you to all who knew Sheila and those who offered up prayer and kind thoughts as she battled through life. She was a warrior and her life was one that was treasured. She will be so missed! Her love and faith in the Lord sustained her here and now she is with Him.

A Celebration of Life service has been postponed at this time. We will inform the community of a date as soon as that has been decided.
