Our dear friend and coworker, Sheila, has been courageously battling cancer for 14 months. Initially diagnosed with endometrial cancer, she underwent a full hysterectomy. She had a 95% chance of full remission. Sheila works in Occupational Therapy, working full time and living a healthy lifestyle. Tragically, cancer was later found in an untreated pelvic region, forcing her to reduce her work hours due to treatments, doctor visits and diagnostic procedures. As a self provider, Sheila struggles to maintain health insurance and cover bills while her income has decreased and medical expenses have skyrocketed. The financial burden is overwhelming, adding stress to her fight against cancer.
