Hi, my name is Angela Berthiaume, and I am Sheila and Jerry Berthiaume's youngest child. My parents have always been the most caring and selfless people I know. They’ve spent their lives supporting family, friends, and neighbors, never asking for anything in return. I know that they would never ask for help themselves—they’ve always made do with what they have. Now, they are facing challenges they cannot overcome alone, and I’m reaching out for help on their behalf.
Recently, Sheila fainted while in the bathtub and suffered a broken ankle. She will need surgery in the near future, and this unexpected accident has left her unable to walk or do her normal activities for the time being. After her surgery, Sheila will require extensive therapy to regain her strength and independence. At the same time, Jerry is bravely battling cancer, which limits how much he can do to care for Sheila and himself. Together, they are trying to stay strong, but the medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and daily living expenses are becoming overwhelming. On top of these challenges, both Sheila and Jerry live on a very fixed income, making it even harder to manage the costs that keep adding up.
Sheila and Jerry’s bathroom now needs to be remodeled to make it safer and more accessible for Sheila during her recovery. This renovation is essential to prevent future accidents and allow her to heal with dignity and comfort. Your support will help cover Sheila’s medical bills, surgery, extensive therapy, and recovery, support Jerry’s ongoing cancer treatments and prescriptions, assist with household expenses, and pay for a bathroom renovation to make their home safer and more accessible.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us. Sheila and Jerry have always given so much to others, and now it’s our turn to give back to them. Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any support you can provide. Your kindness will help bring hope and relief during this difficult time.
