Please meet Sheila Hernandez. Sheila is an overcomer and a woman rooted deeply in her faith -- and she needs your help.

Sheila is a former coworker of mine who has had some really challenging times the past few years. She is the mother of 3 amazing older children (Matthew, 29; Melanie, 29 (Twins); and Michael, 31). In May of 2020, Sheila's mom passed from cancer. Two years later, she lost her middle sister to cancer as well. In June of 2023, Sheila's oldest sister was diagnosed with cancer, and Sheila was her primary caregiver until she sadly passed last year in August 2024. The financial stress and emotional toll that Sheila dealt with while caring for her sister eventually led to her losing her full-time job (of 8 years) just 2 months earlier in June 2024. Sadly, Sheila found herself without a home, car, and facing a scary future for herself.

Although her children have been able to help some with her finances, they too have challenges in their own lives. She has been able to find a steady place to live and a job that pays. Unfortunately, the job is not enough to pay her bills, and she is seeking a second job as quickly as possible to be able to make ends meet. She has received help from her church family, assisting her with groceries and gathering funds as they can.

Sheila is incredibly thankful for those who have been able to help her thus far and has asked me to assist her in finding more generous people willing to help her get back on her feet.

I understand you may not know Sheila personally, but I hope that you may know me and my heart. I believe that God connected Sheila and I the day she was let go from our company. He knew the challenges she would face, and for some reason, He deemed me qualified to help.
