My 17 year old brother DESPERATELY needs Our Help to beat cancer.
My name is Shahad, but today my biggest identity is that I am an elder brother, pleading to you all to come forward however you can, to help us grant Shehzad a Second Chance in Life.
My brother, Shehzad, was diagnosed with Stage 3 testicular cancer in late 2023. After undergoing an orchiectomy in November 2023 and completing three rounds of intensive BEP chemotherapy between December 2023 till February 2024, we were hopeful. We truly believed he was almost cancer-free.
But on May 12, 2025, our worst fear came true – the cancer is back. It has now metastasized to an aortic lymph node, a location that makes treatment far more complex and urgent.
To save Shehzad, he needs severely intensive chemotherapy along with a specialized surgical procedure called RPLND (Retroperitoneal Lymph Node Dissection). This is a rare and delicate surgery that is hardly ever performed in Bangladesh hence, his doctors have encouraged us to seek treatment elsewhere - to give Shehzad a second chance.
Why Singapore?:
Our first choice for treatment is in Singapore, where Shehzad's doctors have encouraged us to go - as they are more capable of handling these complicated conditions.
Also, as my in-laws are situated in Singapore, its the most logical destination.
The Financial Burden:
However this opportunity comes with a huge financial burden.
The estimated cost of starting treatment in Singapore is a lump sum of USD $50,000. This includes initial medical care, diagnosis, consultations to determine course of treatment, along with all the miscellaneous costs related to the overall care.
This initial estimate is expected to rise as we find out the course of treatment.
This burden is beyond any of our ability to achieve this all alone.
But all of us together, we CAN achieve this altogether.
Why this matters so much to me:
Since moving out of Bangladesh in 2015, I’ve already spent a decade away from my family. And now, with Shehzad's cancer returning aggressively, I can’t bear the thought of not being able to do everything that we can, as a community, to give Shehzad a Second Chance to Life.
Your donation—no matter how small—can truly make a life-saving difference. It will go directly toward giving Shehzad a second chance at life, which he truly deserves.
Please consider contributing to this cause and sharing this page with others. With your help, we can get him the chance at life that he deserves, just like the rest of us.
Please don't hesitate to share this with your broader community. With each share, we can reach a larger group of people, thus, making it a tad bit more likely for us to be able to reach this enormous goal.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
