Support Sheena, EMT Mom, After Truck Crash

Hello, my name is Lorna. I hate to ask for charity, but I don’t know what else to do to help my daughter and granddaughter as I am on disability, so I’m doing this on their behalf.

My daughter Sheena and 8-year-old granddaughter Kinley were in my daughter's truck when the truck hydroplaned. Both were wearing seat belts, thank God, because the truck rolled over several times—not sure how many times—before coming to rest on the side of an embankment. The airbags did not deploy and should have! The truck was flattened. Both my daughter and granddaughter lost consciousness and received several injuries. My daughter has a fractured back and both are very bruised up, thankfully none of their injuries are life threatening but my daughter will need funds to pay for medical expenses and help to get another vehicle,

My granddaughter was sent to UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky for further evaluation, and my daughter will be seen for her injuries there as well. My daughter is a very hard-working mother, working 6, sometimes more, days a week to make ends meet, which she has been doing. She is herself an EMT. She has been making truck payments and house payments, and I don’t know if you guys know this, but EMTs do not get paid very much at all, but she loves helping people.

The amount I’m asking is to help pay off her totaled truck, which is around $17,000, and help her get another vehicle so that she won’t lose her job and her house. Any amount is appreciated! And if you can’t donate, please pray. As of right now, both my daughter and granddaughter are in stable condition. My granddaughter told me that just a couple of days ago, she prayed to Jesus to keep them all safe, and she said Jesus kept her and her mommy safe because she didn’t die. She is such a sweet child.
