Luv for Sheba!

Sheba de las Alas is a friend and coworker who is currently facing a serious lung condition that has required her to be intubated and on a ventilator while they work the heal her lungs. In 2017, and early 2018, Sheba was diagnosed with an incredibly rare lung disease called Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis. This causes her lungs to become saturated with proteins, fats and other substances that cause difficulty breathing.

On 4/20, Sheba was admitted into the hospital where she has undergone several procedures to clear her lungs. She is currently intubated and on a feeding tube. The doctors are working to improve her condition and breathing. I’m in touch with her family and also her husband who is also a flight attendant. As updates become available and Sheba heals, we will post them here. If you would like to send cards or well wishes, I’d be happy to pass those along.

Known for her passion and kindness, Sheba has always been there to support those around her, living life to the fullest and cherishing every moment with her family and friends.

The funds raised through this fundraiser will be an added level of support in providing Sheba with the ongoing medical care she needs during this challenging time. They will help cover both her immediate medical expenses and any long-term care she may need. Additionally, the funds will help with her household bills, as she will be unable to work while focusing on her recovery.
