This is Shea Shackelford. Storyteller. Musician. Podcast producer. Teacher. Creative soul. Brother. Son. Friend. Shea’s kindness and creativity have touched so many lives. Whether counseling youth, teaching guitar in the community, telling the stories of the downtrodden, or simply supporting a friend when they were down, Shea has been there for all of us at one point or another. And now, he needs our help.

In October, Shea had a stroke. After two months in the hospital, he is back at home and adapting to a new life: learning to read again, steadying his gait, and figuring out his tech. These recent weeks have been scary and challenging, but Shea is making progress every day and remains hopeful about his recovery. But recovering from a stroke is expensive, and Shea’s condition won’t allow him to work for a living right now, so he needs a financial buffer to provide time for his mind and body to heal. This is where you come in.

With a small (or large!) contribution, you can help get Shea back on his feet. He is running short on funds to pay for living expenses such as rent and food, medication, and rehabilitation. We, his friends and family, aim to help cover these expenses so that Shea can fully focus on recovery without worrying about such essentials.
