Support Shea Powell's Urgent Relocation

Moving. No one wants to do it, but sometimes we have to do what we don't want. Hello, my name is Shea Powell. I am 33 years old and have a lot going on in my life. One might question why I have set up a gofundme, but it is a situation that I would consider an emergency. There has always been contingency in my life regarding my family and I, one could consider it a differing of opinions or perhaps something more. There is a lot of trauma there, but it isn't something that needs to be unpacked in the here and now. I have always struggled with my mental health, to a point it has put me in a place of filing for disability. I do not know if I will be accepted or denied, but the fact I cannot work at current moment has put a lot of strain of my family and I's relationship. They have been gracious enough to help me the best they can, something I will never shirk, but that time is ending. About a month ago now, my grandmother (who everything financial resides on) took a fall and broke her arm in multiple places. She has since been bed ridden and, and this point, seems to have given up on a lot. Including walking and basic things. Long story short, I am in need of moving or I may be considered homeless sooner than later due to choices outside my power. With no current income, I rely heavily on friends for support. However, obviously something must be done because this is not sustainable. So, my closest friends and I have came up with a plan to move me from my current, less than ideal, living conditions to somewhere else. Where is this the immediate question might be, but right now that is under debate. One of my last remaining options is a good 18 hour drive at the best of times. Otherwise, I may have to move elsewhere. A lot has not been hashed out due to things outside my control, but that does not mean there isn't a plan in order. A close friend or two will drive from their location to my own, then to my final destination. So here I am asking the community for help. Funds raised will be directed to expenses during the move, regardless of where that may be. Gas. A hotel/motel for the trip. Food. No one can go 18 hours without sleep or eating, after all. There is also the expense of my friends and their return trip without me. A U-Haul is not planned due to the expenses, but I will do my best to pack lightly. I will be taking what I can carry, be whatever that is. Clothes, essentials, electronics.
