As some of you may know, Shayna Parsons, a fellow Southern Garrett High School 2009 graduate, just welcomed her third baby. During her pregnancy, she struggled with nausea and vomiting, checking her blood sugars daily, and high blood pressure. She had a relentless spinal headache following delivery. She’s been diagnosed with a stroke, and most recently readmitted for neurological concerns and potential seizures.

Shayna is a nurse practitioner who dedicates her life to helping others. Her husband, Cody, a fellow ‘09 graduate, also dedicates his life to helping others as a respiratory therapist. Shayna and Cody have 3 children. Shayna will have numerous specialty appointments upcoming, and is still currently (11/21/2024) in the hospital.

At this time, there is no timeline of how long Shayna will be off, or how much work Cody may also have to miss. Cody and Shayna are strong in their faith.
