I’m creating this fundraiser for my sister Shayla, who has been fighting an unexpected fight since April 13, 2026. She was rushed to the hospital and immediately was admitted to the ICU with life threatening complications, including kidney and liver failure. Since then, she has undergone multiple procedures including a liver transplant at just 40 years old.

By the grace of God, she is still here, and we are incredibly thankful. Shayla has shown incredible strength through it all and has remained in great spirits since the very beginning, in spite of the pain she has endured. Her resilience has truly been inspiring to everyone around her.

But this is only the beginning of a long and challenging road to recovery. Shayla will need ongoing medical care, frequent doctor visits, and extensive physical therapy. During this time, she will be unable to work, drive, or manage many day to day responsibilities on her own.

Shayla is a devoted single mother of five children who depend on her. Right now, she needs a strong support system more than ever. I’m asking family, friends, and anyone who feels led to please consider donating to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time.
