Hi My name is Xiomara Sambolin, Shayla's aunt

Shayla born on June 5, 2011. She like acting, drawing, creating her own cartoons and listening to music. From the moment Shayla born she has had a health problem due to her chronic asthma, leading to being hospitalized many times due to same conditions.

When Shayla was 5 years old she began to experience epileptic seizures. As time went by she began to have severe headaches. In October 2023, Shayla had another episode of epileptic seizures. In March 2024 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor near to her spine. This tumor has changed her life completely. She cannot do anything she likes since she always has extremely bad headaches, severe dizziness, brain inflammation and other health problems due to the brain tumor.

We are waiting for an extremely dangerous surgery since the tumor in her head is attached to her spine and is growing.

Shayla wants to have the opportunity to overcome her health problems and inspire other children with the same health problem as her.

Shayla’s issues are long term and life threatening.

Each day brings challenges physically and emotionally for Shayla, her sister and parents.

While insurance covers the bulk of Shayla’s expenses, there are unexpected day to day expenses that the family needs assistance with.

The Go Fund Me Account will be used to help cover the costs of co-pays, deductibles, unexpected out of pocket expenses and daily family needs getting to and from hospital appointments.
