Support Shawn's Journey to Recovery and Hope

Shawn was hit by a car as a pedestrian. The car was going 55-65 miles an hour. It was a hit and run. Shawn has been in the hospital since Tuesday the 17th at 2:30. Shawn has 4 broken ribs, his left hand is broken, both of his lungs are partially collapsed with his left lung also being bruised, and his left leg having a huge laceration which has caused Shawn to basically have to relearn to walk. Shawn has a very very long road to recovery physically as well as mentally. The trauma from this is starting to set in which is causing horrible nightmares and being scared to even leave the hospital. Shawn and I are both out of work. Shawn’s recovery is looking at 2-4 months and in turn leaves him out of work for that long in which he makes the bulk of the income. I will also be out of work due to him needing 24/7 care. We have a lot of extra expenses with having to accommodate the house for his needs. And of course all of the medical bills that are going to come with this. Shawn is doing so well with the pain and looking at all the positives in this traumatic experience. There is a chance he will be released today with a home health aid. This is a lot for us to process. We appreciate the support we have gotten. If you can’t help in any financial way, prayers are so appreciated. We are really grateful for anything and everything!
