About Shawn
For the past two years, Shawn served as a dedicated House Manager at our DD agency. Before joining our company, he spent nine years as a job coach, helping individuals with developmental disabilities gain skills, independence, and meaningful employment. His advocacy didn’t stop there—he also supported individuals through ASI.
Shawn was more than just a staff member—he was a tireless advocate, a compassionate supporter, and a powerful voice for those who could not speak for themselves. Beyond his professional work, Shawn was a devoted father whose love and commitment to his daughter were unwavering.
His Journey
Recently, Shawn was unexpectedly diagnosed with liver cancer. What began as a hospital visit for post-surgical complications turned into a devastating discovery. After emergency surgery and six weeks out of work, Shawn returned to his job—driven by the need to support his daughter. Just weeks ago, doctors gave him the heartbreaking news that his cancer was terminal.
Despite everything, Shawn continued to fight and focus on spending time with his daughter. Today, that battle came to an end.
