Dear friends, family, and unknown Angels, My name is Shawn Key, and I’m reaching out to share my journey as I battle a brain tumor diagnosed this past December. This fight has not only taken a toll on my physical health but has also led me to make difficult decisions that have changed my life. In November 2025, I made the heart-wrenching choice to shut down my owner operated pest control business. The symptoms I was experiencing became overwhelming. I faced blindness in my left eye, which made it impossible to continue my work, along with dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, and muscle and bone weakness. Simple tasks became monumental challenges, and daily activities that I once took for granted have become daunting. These challenges have not only impacted my ability to work but have also led to significant medical and transportation expenses. That means more than just a major medical procedure—it also means dealing with scans, medications, travel to specialists, and many missed days of work. I will require regular treatments and appointments. Despite these hurdles, I am determined to fight and keep faith in God. However, the financial burden is becoming increasingly difficult to manage. I’m asking for your support to help cover medical expenses, treatments, therapies, medications, transportation to and from appointments, and daily living expenses. With my business closed, I’ve lost a significant source of income. Your support will help cover medical expenses, medication, follow-up tests and treatment expenses, lost income during recovery, rent, utilities, food delivery and groceries, aftercare, travel to post-surgery appointments, and physical therapy.
