Support Shawna’s Missionary Calling

Story

Hi, my name is Shawna Kim. Earlier this year, I completed my Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), where I had the incredible opportunity to spend three life-changing months in Kenya. It was there that I truly came to know God and make Him known. Through serving the people of Kenya and immersing myself in a community of faith, I encountered the depth of God’s heart for the nations — His unshakable love, His compassion for His people, and His personal love for me. These past six months have been a sacred time of growth, intimacy with Jesus, and learning to trust Him with my whole life. Following this season, I felt the Lord place a new calling on my heart: to pursue a secondary YWAM school called Word by Heart. This fall, I hope to join a unique discipleship journey through the Middle East and Europe where I’ll be internalizing the book of Acts in my own mother tongue. The goal of this school isn’t just to memorize Scripture, but to embody it — to live it out like the first disciples did. We believe these stories weren’t just historical accounts, but real-life testimonies of those who walked with Jesus. And now, we’re saying “yes” to doing the same in 2025. I’m deeply excited and expectant — but I can’t do this alone. As I prepare for this next step, I’m looking to raise support for tuition, travel, and outreach costs.
