Support Shawna’s Children After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
Shawna was a devoted mother to six children, known for her warmth, her protective spirit, and her love of cooking for her family. She was tragically taken from us by gun violence while doing what she did best—protecting her children. Shawna’s mother, Tanya, and her sister, Brittianie, are now combining their homes to care for all of Shawna’s children, working to keep the family together and provide the stability they desperately need. The family has already faced tremendous loss, having lost the children's father to lupus just four years ago.
The children are struggling with the loss of their mother. They are lost, hurt, and confused, trying to understand why their mom was taken from them. Shawna’s oldest daughter, who was with her in her final moments, is now stepping up to help care for her younger siblings. The family’s most urgent needs are safe housing, counseling, daily expenses, food, clothing, and support as they transition to a new life. Tanya and Brittianie are working to bring together two families under one roof, creating a home for 11 children so they can stay together and begin to heal.
Shawna’s memory lives on in her children’s hearts. She loved to cook, crochet, and fill her home with love. Her children miss her meals and the comfort she brought to their lives. Your support will help provide a safe home, counseling, and the essentials these children need as they face an uncertain future without their mother. Every contribution will make a difference in helping them rebuild and find hope again.
