My name is Jon, and I am raising funds for my sister-in-law, Shawna. She recently lost her husband, my brother Pat, to a heart attack.

On Thursday, May 30th, Pat experienced what he thought was severe heartburn, but it was actually a heart attack. Despite being 57 and in peak physical condition—exercising six days a week for two hours a day—he didn't realize the severity of his condition. It wasn't until the following Monday that he went to the hospital and learned he had suffered a widow-maker heart attack. After over a week in the hospital, he was discharged, feeling much better and anticipating his upcoming cardiology appointment.

Tragically, on Friday, June 21st, 2024, Pat was late coming home from work, and Shawna couldn't reach him by phone. Fearing the worst, she drove along his usual route and found his vehicle in a ditch off the highway ramp. Pat had suffered a fatal heart attack.

Pat was cherished by all who knew him, always bringing joy and smiles to everyone he met. Pat and Shawna have a farm that rescues abused and malnourished animals. I am seeking donations to assist Shawna with the mounting expenses incurred during this time.
