My brother, Shawn Wilson, had a stroke Monday late afternoon. He was rushed to angel medical, where a stroke and brain bleed were confirmed, so he was life flighted to Mission to save his life. He is in the neurological ICU after having an External Ventricular Drain (EVD) put in his skull to drain the blood from the brain bleed and excess cerebral fluid so that his brain doesn’t continue to swell. He’s still sedated, but showing signs of improvement already, however it’s still way too early to know what prolonged issues he may face. He will have months of recovery, and we all know how fast the bills pile up. Anything donated will go directly to Shawn and his recovery and will be extremely appreciated. Of course prayers and positive thoughts would be greatly cherished too! Shawn is a sensational father to sweet Phoenix as well as an incredibly loved brother, son, uncle, nephew, grandson and cousin to our family, not to mention an amazing friend that would do anything for anyone. We as a family thank everyone for the prayers and donations as he navigates this long road to recovery.
