Support Shawn E. Swain's road to recovery
On behalf of the Swain family, I am asking for donations to help cover the ongoing medical expenses and in home support for Shawn. After being hospitalized in January of 2024 for pneumonia, Shawn experienced an unexpected major heart attack whereby he coded for four minutes. He was resuscitated and went on to have a six-hour quadruple bypass surgery in February of 2024. Once discharged home from the hospital, he began to face another health challenge of kidney failure, as Shawn has also had Type I diabetes since the age of 16. Shawn is currently on dialysis three times per week. Once enjoying his passion as a church percussionist for most of his life, as well as working part time, Shawn has been unable to work since the January 2024 hospitalization. Although his life has changed, Shawn is grateful to be alive and to see his now 50th birthday.
Because of his inability to work your support would provide not only financial relief and in home support, but also encouragement during his continuous treatments and procedures.
On behalf of Shawn and his Mom, Pastor Rosetta, they say a heartfelt "thank you" in advance for reading their story, as well as your consideration and support.
