Support Shawn & Mehari Through Tough Times

Hey everyone! My name is Shawn and I am asking for financial assistance to support with financial security for the next month for me and my dog Mehari. Recently, the restaurant I work at has gone through a slow season, so a lot of our shifts have been cut and we haven't been making anywhere near as much as we did a few months ago. My checks went from $1600 to $117. Major decline.

To make matters a bit more intense, the restaurant is closing for a week for construction which means a week without pay, and there is no compensation offered for the week of no pay. For the past few months, I've been navigating food insecurity, having periods where I didn't have any food to eat, and now the food insecurity may combine with housing insecurity and we may get evicted. I am trying to avoid the reality of an eviction, so I am asking for help from my community.

I've gone through many phone calls reaching out to organizations in the area for support, although they didn't have the capacity or my situation doesn't align with their criteria for support. If you are able to donate anything to support with living expenses for the next month, we would be so appreciative. The last thing I would want right now is for both of us to be navigating food and housing insecurity.
