Hello, we are Shawn and Kathryn Lynch. And we currently are staying at The Ballard House in Katy, TX. The Ballard House is a temporary home for transplant patients to stay, pre and post surgery, in order to be next to the medical center for numerous follow-up hospital visits.

For 28 years, I proudly dedicated my life to truck driving, a career I deeply love, and am incredibly thankful for. It was our rock, our sole source of income, and the foundation of our life together. But on April 25,2025, everything changed. I suddenly lost my career, my job, our health insurance, and our entire income, because I've been medically disqualified from driving an 18-wheeler. My life was in extreme danger, but we still need your help.

**Update**

I received my Dual Lung/Liver transplant Nov 4-6, 2025, and was released on Jan 27, 2026. I am now almost 6 months post-transplant, and recovering well according to my Drs. But I’m not out of the woods yet.

How will your support be used?

Every dollar raised will directly go towards:

Rent: Keeping a roof over our heads.

Car Insurance: Maintaining our only transportation for vital appointments.

Gas: Fueling trips to countless doctor visits and crucial transplant evaluations.

Medical Insurance Premiums: Having Medical Insurance will be critical to paying for my transplants and ongoing medicines after the transplants.

Doctors Visits: Paying out-of-pocket expenses to see my doctors, get bloodwork done, etc.
