Shawn is one of my closest friends, and right now, he’s facing one of the toughest times of his life. His father has become very sick, and Shawn didn’t hesitate to move him in and take on the role of full-time caregiver. This huge responsibility meant Shawn had to quit his job, and to make ends meet, he’s sold most of his belongings—including his beloved comic book collection, which he’s cherished for years. It’s been heartbreaking to watch him give up so much, all to make sure his father is safe and cared for.

With no steady income and mounting expenses, Shawn is struggling to cover rent, provide for his father’s care, and meet their basic needs. He’s always been the kind of friend who would drop everything to help someone else, and now he’s the one who needs a helping hand. Every little bit raised will go directly toward keeping a roof over their heads and making sure Shawn’s father gets the care he needs during this difficult time.
