Shaun and I met in early 2024 when I was at a very low point in my life. However, this man came into my life and made it better again. We had so many plans! We are both huge metalheads, and we LOVE concerts! Our last one was actually supposed to be Nine Inch Nails! Life, sadly, had other plans.

I noticed Shaun dropping a lot of weight around November. Kidney levels were high, but nothing concerning. Then, the swelling started. Doctors still weren't super concerned yet. He was admitted to St. Anthony Hospital in January for a suspected heart attack. It came back that his kidneys were only working at 13%. He was transferred to Barnes in St. Louis and has been there since.

Back to all the plans we had, he was supposed to be moving in with me this month to start our lives together. I am a preschool teacher, and with that being said, I cannot be there with him 24/7, even though I'd love to be. Not a very good start to the future we had, sadly. We are two people who do not ever want to ask for help, but this bill has taken a huge toll on us. Every little bit counts until he's home!
