I met Shaun while working at Manitoulin, where our friendship quickly blossomed. Our strong working relationship evolved into a close friendship involving Shaun, Glenda, myself & Christina (my daughter) I am deeply honored that Shaun and Glenda have entrusted me to support them as they embark on this challenging journey. Shaun, a dedicated trucker with a passion for delivering loads to local mines, and his partner Glenda, a compassionate Home Support worker turned Flight Attendant, are facing an unexpected and challenging journey. On January 28, 2024, Shaun was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. Despite the grim prognosis of 1-1 ½ years of life expectancy, Shaun remains determined to fight. He has undergone surgery to remove as much of the tumors as possible and is now embarking on a rigorous treatment plan that includes six weeks of radiation in Vancouver followed by six months of chemotherapy. This journey has not only taken a toll on Shaun's health but also on their mental, spiritual, and financial well-being. Glenda has put her career on hold to support Shaun through this difficult time, and they are in need of assistance to cover medical expenses, travel costs, and other unforeseen expenses.
