Anyone who has met Shaunna knows what a beacon of positivity and radiance she is. She is an artist and creative through and through. Back in September she was thrilled because she was able to take time off work and focus on honing a new skill: become a flute repair technician. She was chuckling at the tiny hammers that came with her kit and excited for this new endeavor.

A few months ago, she started having some health trouble and was becoming fatigued much faster than usual. After multiple doctors' visits, she was given the news that no one wanted to hear; she had cancer. Now, the doctor is very optimistic because it is Stage 1 and they believe that after the surgery, that the bad stuff should be gone too.

While this a heavy subject, we are all optimistic that Shaunna will fully recover. It is especially hard for her right now because since she took time off work to pursue a passion, this means she is without health insurance. Any amount to help her through this so she can stress a little less about finances and focus on recovering would be amazing. And hopefully, one day, we will live in a nation where we do not have to resort to GoFundMe's so our loved ones can be cared for as they should be.
