Support Shaun as he grieves the loss of Kendrick

Thank you for caring and sending condolences to our dear friend and SWA co-heart Shaun Cuevas as he mourns the loss of his beloved partner Kendrick Gaines. Last week Kendrick suffered a heart attack, and despite Shaun’s courageous efforts to perform CPR until medics arrived, Kendrick passed away in the hospital amongst friends & family by his side, Jan 4, 2023.

Such a dynamic couple, full of love, energy, and laughter! Shaun & Kendrick’s joy extended across the country with so many kindhearted coworkers and always-growing pool of incredible friendships.

Kendrick’s change in career was truly courageous; from finance to flying, with all of Shaun’s love, Kendrick earned his wings in 2021 as a Southwest Flight Attendant. 

Health challenges did not stop this couple’s love of travel. Kendrick succumbed to Stage 5 of Chronic Kidney Disease and bravely managed his daily routine of home hemodialysis. 

All donations will go directly to Shaun to help support his immediate financial obligations during this difficult time that he must step away from work. 

Shaun is a man of great faith and integrity; family, friendships, and prayers are most important to him.
