Support Sharymar's Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
Hello. I am sharing this in hopes of reaching those who have the heart to support a very special family. I have created this page to help alleviate the burden of financial stress during a very difficult time. It is with a heavy heart to share that Sharymar is facing the unimaginable. Sharymar is currently remaining comfortable with hospice care. Facing every day with new challenges just to rest comfortably is strenuous in itself, but to worry about financial stress to provide for herself, her loving wife, and their son during these times is something we all pray and hope to alleviate for them.
Sharymar has always devoted her life to those around her. Whether you were somebody she deeply loved or a stranger, she was always trying to lend a hand and lessen the burden.
As time has become very valuable in the last few weeks, Sharymar and her wife now are facing hardships that nobody in this time of need should have to worry about or face alone.
Our goal is to reach as many individuals who could provide the utmost support as we all know Sharymar would provide for us.
Sharymar is 31 years old and one of the strongest warriors we all have come to know. Even now, facing many hard challenges every day to remain comfortable, she still wakes up worrying about her family. She still checks on everybody and makes sure everybody is well cared for before herself, even while fighting every day for her life.
The decision to make this page and share this news was far from easy, as despite navigating this journey, Shary wanted to still be the sole provider and backbone for her family. All who know Sharymar know how very independent she is and her desire to be the provider to us all.
In these times of need, we want Shary and her beloved wife Haley, and their son Jullian to be reminded that they have support and care in all areas.
As we navigate the final stages of her life, we are asking for your support. Sharymar is currently resting comfortably with hospice care and has only a limited time left with us.
A glimpse into Sharymar’s long courageous battle:
In the year 2021, Shary went for a check-up for pain in her back. Later, it was discovered she had a mass on her kidney that needed further evaluation.
In November 2021, she underwent a biopsy for the mass. With results from this biopsy came the news that it was cancerous and the kidney needed to be removed.
Surgery was scheduled for January 4th, 2022. During this surgery, Shary’s kidney was removed along with infected lymph nodes. With a long, difficult recovery, Shary was able to show us her true warrior self and heal and regain some strength to keep fighting.
In February 2022, she was evaluated with the results of her biopsy. At this time, she was diagnosed with stage 3 Translocation Renal Cell Carcinoma XP11, a very rare type of cancer with not enough studies for a cure. At this time, Shary was asked if she wanted to start treatment or wait to see if there would be any progression of spread.
Shary fought with this decision and went back 3 weeks later in March 2022 and underwent another CT scan. She was informed it had now spread to more lymph nodes in her upper body, making this now a metastatic cancer diagnosis. Shary made the decision to start treatment, a long 4-year battle with multiple side effects from many different medications, many hospital stays, CT scans, frequent blood work, and infusions every 3 weeks for 4 years straight.
By the grace of God, the cancer progression was maintained, allowing Shary to enjoy her daily life alongside her loving family despite not being up to her full potential.
Until November 2024, she was experiencing severe pain in her pelvis and again underwent multiple MRI scans, later to find out that the cancer had now spread to every bone in her body, including her brain.
Shary did not let this hold her back. Proving again how strong of a warrior she is to herself and all of those she loves, she made the decision to start multiple radiation treatments for palliative care.
Treatment unfortunately failed, now leaving her with limited options due to the rapid spread throughout her body.
Shary remained strong, optimistic, and continued fighting until March 2025. She started to notice a decline, being unable to move as freely and perform ADLs without large amounts of unbearable pain.
She was admitted into the hospital and diagnosed with Cardiac Tamponade, leading to a window surgery for her heart. This surgery was decided due to the fluid around her heart, as well as fluid in her lungs, causing her to have limited breathing. Shary’s wonderful medical team was able to successfully perform the surgery, but this led Shary to have excruciating pain, leading to the discovery of the fracture in her L4 that was now pushing into her spinal cord. Shary had to have an emergent lumbar laminectomy tumor resection and internal stabilization, resulting in her having rods in her spine.
Despite every procedure and every bad news, Shary remained hopeful, but unfortunately, the reality was her body was giving up and Shary was tired.
Now requiring full around-the-clock care, the decision was made to make Shary as comfortable as possible as we all can at home.
Shary made the courageous decision: no more procedures, no more hospital stays, and no more treatment for the remainder of her life so she can return to the comfort of her home, surrounded by all of those who love her deeply.
We ask and pray at this time to all come together, family, friend, or stranger, and help support this family in need. Please know every donation, small or big, will go towards all of Shary’s needs, such as remaining in the comfort of her home with her family by her side, her medical supplies, medications, and the remainder for her end-of-life expenses.
Please know if you are not in the position to donate, we understand and ask at this time for immense thoughts and prayers as we believe prayer changes everything. Please pray for Shary’s comfort and the strength for her wife Haley and son Jullian as this progression has rapidly paced, leaving little to no time to prepare. We ask if you could please help us by sharing this on and off all socials (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) to try and reach as many individuals as possible.
If you do not feel comfortable donating directly through this platform, please feel free to reach out directly to myself Haylee, or Sharymar’s wife Haley. Contact information will be available upon request.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story. Your support, whether it’s a prayer, donation or a simple share, means the world to them, and we deeply thank you.
We love you, Shary! Your family loves you with their whole heart, and we will never stop fighting for the absolute best care for you!
