Good Day,

My name is Shartoya Jn. Baptiste, and I am a Choreographer and Scenic Designer. Growing up in Saint Lucia, I always enjoyed watching Tempo and BET and dreamt of creating music videos one day. Today, I enjoy creating concept videos that fuse the worlds of scenic design and dance together, showcase Caribbean talent, and help exhibit my creativity and ideas. This year, I plan on creating multiple dance concept videos that do just that and I will need your help to bring it to life.

I will be creating seven concept videos in Saint Lucia. Rehearsals begin in March, with filming in June. The USD$5,000 will cover the costs of scenic materials, rental of lighting instruments, transportation, and payments for the dancers, editors, and camera crew involved. I plan to use these videos as a portfolio piece to share with Caribbean and international artists to show the art I can create.

In 2023, I collaborated with a Saint Lucian brand to create the Big Ride Video. With USD$1,500 , I was able to complete this project. Imagine what could be possible with USD$5,000!
