A few years ago, a fire swept through the property, destroying essential structures, supplies, and critical parts of the home. The damage was overwhelming, but she pushed forward and rebuilt step by step so she could continue caring for the animals who depend on her every single day.

Second Tragedy: Tornado Destruction, Multiple Basement Floods, and a Lapse in the Insurance (No Fault of Her Own)

Just as things were beginning to stabilize after the fire, disaster struck again. A powerful tornado ripped through the area, causing severe and widespread destruction:

The furnace was destroyed

The hot water tank was blown out

Significant structural and water damage throughout the home

The destruction to the property also tore apart the animals’ fencing, leaving them suddenly without the secure enclosure that kept them safe and protected

To make matters worse, she then discovered a heartbreaking blow: her insurance had lapsed—through absolutely no fault of her own. This left her with no coverage and no financial safety net to rebuild after this second catastrophe.
