Sharon "My Sharona" Stewart is an empty nester with one grandbaby and another on the way. She's a roller derby rock star turned hobby farmer, a newlywed to her high school sweetheart, and she somehow continues to break the glass ceiling in the HVAC industry. Sharon is a trailblazer, a loving mother and grandmother, and a fierce friend who always puts others first.
Recently, Sharon was diagnosed with Stage 1 Invasive Ductal carcinoma. With two spots requiring a lumpectomy and partial mastectomy, she has chosen to get ahead of the problem and undergo a full mastectomy of that breast, along with reconstruction. Her surgery is scheduled for December 29th, and she faces significant medical expenses, including fees for her plastic surgeon and a large insurance deductible. On top of these challenges, Sharon is also grieving the very recent loss of her father, making this an especially difficult time for her and her family. The financial burden is heavy, and she needs support to make sure she can focus on healing and recovery.
"Sharona" has been my best friend and derby sister for the last 20 years. We are derby wives, who have always shared our love of God, family, and skating. As long as I've known her, she has dropped everything to help a loved one in need. She is our local Rosie the Riveter, strong and independent, and she would NEVER burden anyone by asking for help, so I'm going to do it for her. If you can, please join me in supporting Sharon during this challenging time. Your generosity will make a real difference in her journey to recovery.
