I am reaching out to you with a heart full of gratitude and hope. My mom, Sharon Velez Santiago, is 42 years old and has been battling Systematic Lupus Erythematosus for several years. We live in Marlborough MA and have been living here for 9 years.

However, she has recently received an additional diagnosis that has drastically changed her life: Neuromyelitis Optica. This condition has affected her mobility and forced her to leave her job, resulting in a tight financial situation for my family.

She has asked me to help her create this GoFundMe because she worries about not being able to provide for me and my two younger sisters as well as help my dad with bills/other costs. That is why I am asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will be a huge help to us. Your support will allow us to cover our basic expenses (rent, bills, groceries, etc.) and be able to move forward with our lives. My family and I want to express our deepest gratitude to those who have already shown their support to us. Your love and generosity mean the world to me and my family.

Mi mamá, Sharon Vélez Santiago, tiene 42 años y ha estado luchando contra el Lupus Eritematoso Sistemático durante varios años. Vivimos en Marlborough, MA y hemos estado viviendo aquí durante 9 años.

Sin embargo, recientemente ha recibido un diagnóstico adicional que ha cambiado drásticamente su vida: mielitis transversa. Esta condición ha afectado su movilidad y la ha obligado a dejar su trabajo, lo que ha resultado en una situación financiera difícil para mi familia.

Me ha pedido que la ayude a crear este GoFundMe porque le preocupa no poder mantenerme a mí y a mis dos hermanas menores. y igualmente a ayudar a mi papa con facturas/otros costos.
