I have been diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes (HER2 NEU Invasive ductal carcinoma). This diagnosis has turned my world upside down. I have used all my employer benefits, including every hour of PTO and sick leave, just to keep up with my medical appointments and treatments. Now, having exhausted these primary safety nets, I am facing a total loss of income while my medical needs continue to grow.
