Assalaamu Alaikum, On October 5, 2024, we tragically lost Tamir, my beloved son. At just 20 years old, Tamir became a victim of senseless gun violence at the hands of someone who once felt like family to him. His life was taken in our own home, right in front of me and his younger brother, Sayfudeen, who loved him dearly.

My heart is shattered, but I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for Sayfudeen, now my only child and my reason to keep going. This has left me unable to work as I try to manage our grief and stay present for him. I’m reaching out to our community for support during this time—to help us cover December’s bills and keep a stable home for Sayfudeen.
