Support Sharon Weaver's Battle with Rare Breast Cancer

My name is Caitlin and my brother Dylan and I are writing on the behalf of our wonderful mother Sharon Weaver.

As you may know (or may not because this new phase has all happened so quickly), our beautiful mama has been battling a very aggressive form of breast cancer for the last two years.

In December of 2023, she underwent a double mastectomy, and we all thought she was in the clear and on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, this fall, she was re diagnosed with an even rarer and more aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Lobular Carcinoma. It is so rare that it accounts for less than 1% of all breast cancers and little is known about treatment.

Our mom, Sharon, has been told that there is no cure and it is growing quickly.

She is still fighting to stay here as long as possible for her kids and her 4, almost 5, grandchildren.

Due to her condition, she has not been able to work. Her bills are falling behind, her air conditioner needs to be fixed, along with a gambit of other things.

Our mom is one to always help everyone she can, not one to ever ask for help, but my brother and I have had quite a few friends and family reaching out asking to assist.

I know our mom has touched so many lives, in her 72, years as she has always lived in such a kind and selfless way.

As a teacher, she poured so much love into all of her students and coworkers, and as a mom, she has always been my best friend.

She would never ask for help herself but I know she will appreciate it so much.

Thankfully our Aunt Kathy has been an absolute hero in coming to live with our mom and take her to all of her appointments and help her with her day to day needs.
